Played Rin good route the other day. First route, only canon route, so I'm not touching it again.

I got Emi's route first time through. I wasn't even planning on touching this feelfest but decided to.

Now I'm empty inside. Nothing feels the same.

I got her good end and I can honestly say that I cried at the end. And like Waily I'm not touching it again. Mostly because I just can't. I can't bring myself to play other routes at all.

I think the reason I feel like this is because having problems with my feet and actually being told by doctors and surgeons that they would have to either A) Amputate my foot or B) Surgically correct them but eventually be in a wheelchair later in life I could connect with her the most. I didn't put myself in Hisao's shoes. I put myself in Emi's. So now seeing the happy end for her I just can't stand my life right now and see how completely shit it is. So I'm changing it. I've changed how I eat, exercise habits and other shit habits that I currently have. It will be hard but I will do it. I have to. And hopefully by this time next year I'm a completely different person who will leave this country and travel. I should have about 20k in bank this time next year so I can use that and get out to see the world. I've lived the past 5 years using my disability as an excuse for shit. No more.

And yes I know none of the characters actually exist and are over exaggerated but I honestly do not care. I made a connection and it opened my eyes to see the real me.

I found the game when I saw you guys were talking about it. I'm currently playing through it, and you guys' reactions are quite... interesting.
It makes me curious to see which route I take as I progress in the game.

Most people went into it expecting hot porn.

Many left depressed and feeling empty. Others left changed. Some left a bit depressed but went back to normal after a few days. Some will never be the same again. Each person takes their own from it.

I have a friend that played it and he said that during some parts he could feel for x character but after he did all routes he really wasn't changed. Not too much at least. He's still the same but I believe it's because he could not make a connection to any of the characters whereas I could. It's definitely an experience for everyone.

For me this is a life changing thing. I only hope that it works out in the end.

At "The Deep End" (Rooftop scene). I don't know what to think besides 1) This is a really great game and 2) Kenji is a badass.

I think at the moment, I'm on Lilly's path, judging by how Hisao feels for her. I'm enjoying the game thus far, though I have a feeling that sad things will happen soon... D:

There should be an option for him. I'd go for that.

I've gone down Shizune, Emi, and Hanako (in that order). I've been postponing Lilly simply because I don't like her. :I


Also, the soundtrack is available for download, in case anyone is interested in that kind of thing like I am.

I try to relate to Hanako, but the more I play I feel more Rin than anyone else.

I more or less chose Lilly's path because I feel I can somewhat relate to her, at least in her collected-ness and her mass of knowledge

Also yes I would be interested in a soundtrack of sorts. There were a few songs that I especially liked. Grabbing it now lol

I would totally do a Kenji path. His conspiracy theories make me nearly die of laughter. And his assumptions of what people are secretly a part of are golden.

To be honest, I'm not sure. :I It was just an instant dislike of her the second she started talking.

But if I had to guess, it's probably just her general attitude. It's not that it's a bad attitude, it's just one that I have a particular dislike of.

I just finished the game with Lilly's path completed.

I feel it's a sufficient path, and is quite interesting. It actually ended happy, which made me a little surprised since everyone else had talked about their ends having them crying, but it's nice to have some change and a unique story each time.

I do think I can learn a few things from Hisao's experiences with Lilly, namely how he realized that he acted toward Lilly (or the lack of action toward her, I could say lol)
I'm sure if this path ended sad, I'd be hard pressed to try the other paths. But seeing as how this path ended happily, I'm going to try to see what other paths I can take and see what to take out of each path.

Dang this game is good. Who knew a simple text based adventure like this could be so compelling and entertaining.

I hate to say it...but I think Hanako's story is my favorite. With Emi at a very close second.

But the music. Man, the music really makes this game all the more immersive and enjoyable.
I don't know how to describe the feeling I have when listening to well made and well placed music. Especially in something that interests me as much as this.

Finished the Rin good route.

Really was emotional. Ups and downs all over the place with a satisfying ending.

To be honest I kind of chose her because I had to. Either that, do Kenji's thing over and over again, or choose the art club.

Not regretting that at all now.

It's almost odd how I've felt close to what Rin felt. How she handles it. I can relate to that, if only for a moment.

I really feel like I understand myself better now.

On to Hanako!

Also I can't stand Emi >.<

Well, I just finished all storylines, got 100% completion, and blah blah. So my final personal verdict, in order of most favorite to least favorite, is:
Hanako>Emi>Rin>Lilly>Shizune.


...And now I'm going to go read it all again.

After hearing you guys raving about it, i actually played the game expoecting no bond to the characters whatsoever. lucky got bored aftwer the fist wall of text, but i played it and got the scene where you fell off the roof. i tried again and went down Hanako's path. im writing this as i just finished, and i am gushing out tears. THIS GAME MADE EVEN ME CRY. I can't stand to play it again. *uninstall*

By the way, there's generally multiple endings at the end of each path.

Always one good and one bad, at least.

Ahhhhhh I just finished Hanako's good path in Katawa Shoujo, and I absolutely loved it, especially the ending :3

Also, I finished Shizune's paths a few days ago, but I think those weren't as good as the other paths. The ending of the bad path was kind of... eh, it didn't hit me as bad as I thought it would. It was kind of anticlimatic, if anything :/

Time to finish Hanako's neutral and bad paths, and then off to Rin and Emi~
