Quote removal Empty Quote removal

Could we get quotes disabled on the forum? I've seen numerous accounts of misuse, either quoting in the direct next reply, which is unnecessary, or causing grief by putting words in someone else's mouth.

As convenient as it is, it's just as simple to say:
As Llama said earlier: "blah blah blah" we could go with that.

If you want to reply directly to the last post in a thread, then just reply to it, you don't need to quote it. if you want to direct your post to someone other than the last post then @person it.
Example:
@Gfiti; that won't work because blah.
